Football Friendlies Welcomes you to it’s first edition of 7 A-side Bank Holiday Football Tournaments! It is our belief that recreational football should have a place in Irish Football. So, for this reason, Football Friendlies wants to make Bank Holidays a reoccurring 7 A-side football tournament event.

Details

Tournament Date: 23rd of October 2021

Starting Time: 12:00pm 

Team arrivals: From 11:00 am

Finishing Time: 6:00 pm

 

*Limited to 12 Teams* (Limited to 10 players per team)

 

Age Restrictions: All players must be 17 years old and over

Trophies and Medals for the 1st 2nd 3rd place

Duration: Each team is guaranteed at least 6 games of 20 minutes, with 5 minutes break between games

Registration fees: of €556.00 per team

  • All payments are final and non-refundable
  • No refund will be given for any disqualifications or failure to comply with the rules

 

Team size: 7-10 players per team, of which one must be a goalkeeper, and 3 substitutes. A minimum of 5 players are required for the game to go ahead.

 

Important Note: 10 players is the limit for one team. If you choose more than 10 players, you will be charged separately as two teams.

 

Covid procedures: Social distancing measures must be adhered to at all times according to HSE Guidelines

Tournament Format: (Please read carefully)

1: Group stage

  • The group stage standings will determine which trophy each team will be competing for in the semi-final

2: Semi-Finals

Based on the group stage table, teams will be paired off to compete for Trophies:

  • The team that finishes 1st and 2nd in their respective group stage will compete for the Cup Trophy
  • The team that finishes 3rd and 4th in their respective group stage will compete for the Plate Trophy
  • The team that finishes 5th and 6th in their respective group stage will compete for the Shield Trophy

3: Finals

  • The Winning team from Group 1 will play the winning team from Group 2 to compete in the Finals.

Essentials required while attending the tournament:

 Personal Hand Sanitiser

 Water Bottle (labelled with your full name)

Lunch is not provided (Please bring lunch with you)

 Football Boots - Grass and Astro (No metal studs)

Goalkeepers must wear gloves

All Players are required to wear shin guards and knee-high socks.

All players must wear the same colour shirts (except Goalkeeper). Bibs will be available if required.

 

Please note: To ensure the tournament starts on time please arrive 1 hour early, to sign in. Because of the potential high-volume traffic in the Adare Village, please allow enough time for yourself and your teams to arrive safely. If for any reason you are unable to attend the tournament or are running late, you should contact the event coordinators to let them know. The tournament coordinator can be contacted on - 089-4688062
